The West Harbour Waterfront – Hamilton, Canada
The West Harbour waterfront project in the city of Hamilton is a multi-faceted redevelopment initiative, primed for investment over the next several years. Redevelopment work from a former brownfield site to now an attractive, inviting recreational area has taken place over the past twenty years. The next phase of this redevelopment initiative calls for various commercial and multi-residential units to be shovel ready by 2018, following infrastructure upgrades in the areas of water/wastewater, recreational trails, marina use, and shoreline rehabilitation managed by the City of Hamilton. As waterfront development in a major urban centre, close to major transportation routes and a downtown core is in extremely short supply in the Province of Ontario, Hamilton’s West Harbour project is a unique opportunity for investors.
