Presentation of the project Toulouse Montaudran Aerospace
Southeast of the city of Toulouse , Toulouse Montaudran Aerospace delineates an area of twenty-first century on a site steeped in history. Located on the historic track Aeropostale,the cradle of aviation industry in France, this place is one of the last brownfield’s of Toulouse and an opportunity to create a new ambitious and innovative area around an international science campus .
Place of memory and future, this high-tech campus, of high environmental performance, will be one of Europe’s largest R & D sites in the fields of aeronautics, space and embedded systems . It opens wider generic technologies (materials , energy …) . Thus, along the doctrine of Aeropostale, students, researchers and industrialists can live together in synergy supporting innovation.
This project will allow Toulouse to reclaim a landlocked area between a railway line and the outskirts. Called of the city of “Knowledge”, this area will combine local life and scientific experiments, technological and cultural.
With an area of 355 000m ² of which 50 000m ² will be dedicated to higher education and research, 190000m ² tertiary 20000m ² to shops , 80000m ² of housing and 15,000 m2 of public facilities, it will showcase the global competitiveness of Aerospace Valley.
