ABENO HARUKAS is the tallest building in Japan and the tallest railway terminal in the world. It connects this metropolitan-area railway network to new vertical urban network which reorganizes human activities, information, natural light and air flows, and energy-saving system. Abeno Harukas is a high-density urban complex, a vertical-compact city, incorporating railway station, department store, art museum, school, hospital, office, hotel, observatory, and rooftop gardens. This multi-purpose network of various services and information maximizes the performance of each function, and connects these programs with various vertical and horizontal circulations.
