MAPIC 2012 is proud to introduce the launch of The MAPIC Digital Summit, an exclusive invite-only event during MAPIC aimed at bridging the gap between the retail real estate industry and the world of digital and e-commerce. In the advent of rapidly evolving social and mobile technology, retailers are embracing the growing need to create customer attachment not only through online commerce but equally through what marketing experts are now calling brand “experience.”

The MAPIC Digital Summit will bring together a select group of 50 retailers, shopping centre owners, developers, high street planners and digital experts to exchange ideas, best practices and propose real solutions in this rapidly evolving market. Selected thought leaders will ensure a diverse yet balanced range of experience, expertise, and perspectives in order to meet the needs of all participants. Some of the industry’s key decision-makers will be present, including CEOs and other experts from the retail real estate value chain, as well as the e-commerce and digital fields.

Hôtel Gray d’Albion, Salon 4 Saisons – By invitation only

Limited seats available. Contact us to reserve today!

Following an exclusive keynote from world renowned speaker Robert Tercek, named one of the “Digital Dozen” most influential players in new media by Variety, roundtable discussions will ensue on  the topic “Digital: threats & opportunities: What are the new emerging business models?”

  • Does the growth of e-commerce necessarily result in the decline of traditional commerce? And will the strong progressions of e-commerce be able to compensate the decline of the traditional channel?
  • What is the vision of the future for commercial spaces? Is it the beginning of a “digital” shopping center?
  • What changes and “adaptations” will traditional commerce have to go through in order to confront this new challenge?
  • A new business model, a new order: Who profits from this digitalisation? Is it the consumer? And who will be tomorrow’s leader in online sales?
