France is one of the most international retail markets in the world and its global presence is increasing.
France is the third-ranking country in the world in terms of direct foreign investment and the second in Europe for foreign investment.
“Because it is a mature market, France has the biggest potential for the mab group,” says Marc Vaquier, CEO of Mab Development France.
Mab Development plans to open the 40,000 sq m Grand Arena shopping centre in Bordeaux Floirac and has signed a joint venture with Neinver to develop factory outlets in France and Germany.
Two such projects are being developed in France: Honfleur the Style Outlets in Normandy and Roppenheim The Style Outlets in Alsace. “I think there is room in France for five to six more factory outlets centres,” Vaquier says.
